How often should my piano be tuned?
Most pianos are tuned every 6–12 months, depending on use and environment. Concert and recording instruments are tuned more frequently.
If your piano hasn’t been serviced in several years, a pitch raise may be needed first.
Can I ask for advice before I commit to anything?
Absolutely. Many clients begin with a simple question about whether a piano is worth investing in, what an older instrument might need, or what to expect when buying.

Do you work on non-Steinway pianos?
Yes. I service all makes and models of acoustic pianos, from older family uprights to modern grands.
Steinway & Sons work is a specialty, but your piano is welcome regardless of its brand.
Do you help with buying a piano?
Yes. I can offer recommendations to make your current piano more enjoyable to play, or help you choose a new one.
I am pleased to assess any used or new piano you may be considering, and/or happy to discuss new Steinway, Boston and Essex instruments.

Regulation
Adjusting the action so keys respond evenly, making your piano comfortable and controllable for players at every level.
Voicing
Shaping hammer felt and tone so your piano isn’t too bright, too mellow, or uneven between notes.
Repairs & Inspections
Fix sticking keys, noisy pedals, broken strings, and get pre-purchase inspections before investing in a used piano.
